I bring you warmest of greetings from the Board of Directors, and the hard working volunteers of AEW to whom all credits are due for their devotions and sacrifices.

We have a core mission that drives our environmental passion “saving lives by protecting the environment” through educational awareness and actions geared towards improving the quality of lives in Africa. Empowering communities, is the first line defense for a sustainable environment future.

The environmental challenges facing Africa are quite enormous compounded by Climate Change/Global Warming for which every prospect of the Continent are threatened. The Continent contributes less than 4% of the total global greenhouse gases, but yet suffers over 60% of the impact. The industrialized countries responsible should compensate Africa to remedy the impact through viable alternatives to communities, such as education and best available technologies as well as sensible adaptation.

As a result of these of environmental problems, there are inadequate food production, scarcity of water due to receding water bodies, proliferation of diseases such as malaria that kills an African child every 30 seconds, hotter temperature rise in most parts of the Continent making lives unlivable, deforestation, drought, faming and other environmental issues, such as the dumping of hazardous wastes in the territorial borders of Africa by foreign nations, and natural resources exploration without sound environment management plan and etc.

All of these aforementioned environmental concerns bring about poverty to which most Africans are subjected. It equally provokes environmental injustices to which many are denied and the rights to live in a healthy environmental are compromised

AEW seeks a new paradigm shift through educational awareness and action that would empower communities and stakeholders for a collective approach as the fundament steps towards a save environment that promotes economic sustainability and a peaceful co-existence.
